FAQ
Questions, answered straight.
The things people ask before we work together. If yours isn't here, just ask me directly.
How much does a website cost?
A standard five-page website starts at $2,500. That's the starting point, and the price moves up with scope and anything custom you need. If you're not ready for a full build yet, an audit is the cheapest way to find out what to fix first.
How much does SEO cost?
Ongoing SEO starts at $800 a month. It goes up as we add more, backlinks, extra content, broader campaigns. If you'd rather test the water first, a one-off audit shows you the quick wins before you commit to anything monthly.
How long does it take to build?
Most builds take a few weeks. Anew Senior Placement went from no website to live in two weeks. Once I understand your business and have your content, I move fast, because a site that ships is a site that starts bringing in customers.
Who owns the website?
You do. The site, the domain, and the content are yours outright. No rented platform, no lock-in. If we ever stop working together, you keep everything and can take it anywhere.
Will I get any traffic when the site first launches?
Yes, and I don't leave you to work that out alone. When the project goes live, I give you a plan for where to post and promote it so you start pulling in visitors from day one, instead of waiting months for SEO to build up. We go through the specifics together once your site is ready.
What happens after the site launches?
I hand it over and show you how to run it. If you want changes later, or ongoing SEO to keep growing your traffic, I'm around. You're never stuck waiting on a support queue.
Do you do SEO, or just build websites?
Both. A fast site that nobody finds is a waste of money. I handle on-page SEO, local SEO, your Google Business Profile, and AI search visibility, so the right people actually find you and call.
What are AEO and GEO?
AEO is Answer Engine Optimization and GEO is Generative Engine Optimization. The names are new, the work mostly isn't. It's traditional SEO done right, clean structure, strong content, a solid Google listing, real reviews, so that when someone asks an AI like ChatGPT, Perplexity, or Google's AI Overviews for a business like yours, your name comes up. Most local businesses aren't covering this yet, which is where the opening is.
Can you get my business to show up in ChatGPT and AI search?
Yes, that's what this work goes after. AI tools pull from sources they trust: your website, your Google listing, your reviews, and mentions of you around the web. Get the SEO fundamentals right across all of those and your business becomes one of the answers an AI gives back. No one can promise a given AI will always recommend you, but solid groundwork stacks the odds in your favor.
Is AI search optimization a different service from SEO?
No, it's the same traditional SEO done right, aimed at a new place your customers look. The fundamentals that rank you in Google, clear content, a strong listing, good reviews, consistent mentions, are the same ones that get you named by AI. Do them well and you show up in both.
What if I already have a website?
Then an audit is the right first step. I'll review the site, your SEO, and your Google listing, and give you a short, ranked list of what's costing you customers. Sometimes the fix is a few changes, not a rebuild.
How does working together work if we are not in the same place?
I work with small businesses remotely, wherever you are. We talk over email, calls, and screen-shares, and you hear back from me, usually within a day. You always know what's happening and what comes next.
How do I get started?
Tell me what you're dealing with through the contact form, or book a call. I read every message myself and reply personally. From there we figure out whether you need an audit, a build, or the whole thing.
Still have a question?
Ask me directly. I read every message and reply personally, usually within a day.
